鑒於患有失智症的病患及老人,通常不具有照顧自已的能力,只要家人稍不留神,可能使得失智病患或老人走失,並發生危急的情形,本研究目的為架構一套可攜帶式的緊急求救系統。使用者不需經過特別訓練,在緊急狀況下可向外呼救。在失智老人外出的時,家屬也可透過本系統隨了解其所在位置以降低老人走失的機率。 本系統結合GPS系統及GSM通訊網路,使用者端系統在緊急情況時可按下按鈕裝置,救援端便可接收含有GPS定位資訊的簡訊,透過電子地圖可獲知求救者方位,更可根據ECG傳輸了解老人的生理狀態,迅速提供必要之救援。本研究所研發之求救系統較傳統被動式協尋方式較優,希望能因本研究強化對失智症患者及老人的照護。
The patients who suffered from dementia usually have troubles in taking care of themselves. It is very easy for them to get lost and put themselves in crisis situations, due to family members’ neglect. The purpose of this research is to build a portable emergency-care system, so that, without special instructions, the patients can call for rescue, when confront dangers. The family members can also actively reach out the patients’ location through the emergency-care system to prevent the odds of being lost. The system combines GPS and GSM communication networks. When the dementia patients in critical situations, a press on the emergency button will activate a Short-Message-System (SMS) call. The short message call through the GSM network will then be passed to a server system. Since the short message contains valid GPS information, the rescuers can track the patient’s location through the help of digital map on the server system. Moreover, the emergency-care system is equipped with an ECG amplifier for the rescuers remotely monitoring the patient’s physiological condition. Hence the specific aides will be prepared in advance, if necessary. The outcome of the emergency care system is outperformed than conventional passive rescue methods. We hope the care for the dementia and elder patients can be promoted through this research.
