資訊處理能力與需求之配適對技術移轉效率的影響

摘要


摘要 本研究主要探討技術移轉時的配適效果,本研究之模型由一令人注目的技術移轉效率模型研究而來,作者論述目前流行的“學習型組織”、“知識基礎能力” 論點可經由權變研究學者的觀點獲得適當的理論依據,Teasley與Robinson研究發展的論點為建構資訊處理權變模型去解釋團隊基礎組織的創業精神以及創新,此模型經由科技結構權變理論之架構而來並聚焦於組織工作團體的資訊處理,此模型主張技術移轉效率為專案之資訊處理需求及資訊處理能力之配適情況的結果產出。 本研究模型以結構權變理論為基礎並主張一多變結構構面(資訊豐富與數量)與其情境對應(變化性與可分析性)之配適來預測技術移轉效率。在此模型中可簡單推論為高不確定性需要較高程度的資訊互動,而低不確定性應需要較低的資訊互動程度。過度運用知識資源在高可分析性的情境中會導致規模不經濟以及不必要的資源浪費,未充分利用資源於高不確定性或低可分析性的情境將引起知識赤字而造成不理想的績效結果。 技術移轉活動在專案團體環境下受到目標設定和工作展現出的結果所影響,多樣的活動構成專案利害關係以廣泛資源影響衝擊了專案活動,要獲得這些影響力,四個干擾變數應被列入此模型中考量其干擾作用,而文化因素可能是造成此模型及權變理論預測些許誤差的原因,因此一觀察之干擾要素為文化特性中的集體主義也被列入本研究模型中。 本研究結果顯示出當技術移轉專案達成配適時可擁有較佳的技術移轉績效,此概念反映出本研究的理論核心,但所有干擾變數對於資訊處理配適與技術移轉效率之關係並無干擾效果存在。

Abstract This study is to inquiry the fit in technology transfer. This study’s model is stem from a compelling representation of technology transfer effectiveness model. The authors (Teasley & Robinson, 2005) argue that fashionable notions of “learning organizations” and “knowledge-based competencies” can derive appropriate theoretical roots from the more seminal views of contingency researchers. Their research develops a information processing contingency model to explain entrepreneurship and innovation within organization. This model draws from technology-structure contingency theory and focuses on the information processing of organizational work-groups. The model poses technology transfer effectiveness as the outcome of the fit between a project’s information processing requirements and its information processing capabilities. The model is based on structural contingency theory and proposes that a multivariate “fit” of structural dimensions (information richness and amount) with their contextual counterparts (technological analyzability and variety) predicts technology transfer effectiveness. This model simply infers that if elevated uncertainty requires a high level of information interaction, then reduced uncertainty should require a lower level. Excessive application of knowledge resources to well-define or analyzable environment would lead to inefficiencies of scale. Similarly, underutilization of those resources in highly-uncertain or un-analyzable environments evokes knowledge deficits. Technology transfer activities operate within project group environments that are influenced by the goals and the unfolding outcomes of work. Diverse constituents acted as project stakeholders influences impact projects from a broad range of sources. To capture the effects of these influences, four moderating variables are included in the theoretical framework, Cultural considerations were seen as possible reasons for deviations from model and contingency theory predictions, one observed factor is the culture’s Attribute of collectivism, it’s included in this study model, too. The results of this study present that a technology transfer project achieving fit would enjoy superior performance. This notion reflected a theoretical core of this study, but five moderating variables are not moderate the relationship between information processing fit and technology transfer effectiveness. Managers can employ resources, planning and incentives to tailor appropriate information processing capabilities thereby influencing project performance.
