現代水墨畫應用於《老殘遊記》繪本創作─以〈明湖居聽書〉為例

摘要

現代眾多文化的視覺出版品當中，繪本是綜合文學與繪畫的藝術，是畫面與文字結合的結晶，藉由精緻的圖文鋪陳，傳達文字無法述說的意境，與閱讀者作直接的溝通互動與交流，成為不失藝術表現、傳遞文化價值的絕佳媒介。《老殘遊記》為清代劉鶚所著的章回小說，其特色在於描寫聲音的多樣化修辭技巧，具有崇高的文學價值，讓讀者用眼睛「聽到」王小玉的千古絕唱，作為繪本的故事文本，深具文化傳承的意義。水墨畫是我國固有的傳統繪畫，「現代水墨」應時代要求和需要而出現的藝術潮流，是一種從傳統向現代的轉型，通過觀念的變化和符號語言的轉變，獲得具有現代性意義的文化價值。
本創作以《老殘遊記》中最經典的段落〈明湖居聽書〉為文本，依文獻與案例分析歸納出繪本圖像表現內容的五個部分：「建立場景與氛圍」、「敘事功能」、「視點運用」、「角色塑造」、「象徵寓意」；以作為繪本創作圖像的方向與架構，並結合現代水墨畫的實驗精神、多元媒材與技法創作繪本圖像，呈現現代水墨畫的多元價值、文化涵養，創作現代水墨畫風格的《明湖居聽書》繪本。

Among all the vast cultural visual publications, picture books are the art combining literature and pictures and the combination outcome of images and words. By narrating in details with exquisite pictures and words to convey the mood that words cannot describe, picture books interact and communicate directly with readers and become the perfect media without loss of artistic expression and cultural value delivery. “The Travels of Lao Can” is a novel written by Liu E of late Qing dynasty. It describes various rhetorical skills of sound perfectly well and has high literary value. Readers are able to “hear” Wang Xiao-yu’s “poetic masterpiece through the ages.” Use it as the story text of a picture book shows strong significance of cultural heritage. Chinese ink and wash painting is the traditional painting originated in China. “Modern ink painting” is the art trend appeared upon the requests and demands of the modern era. It is the transformation of old style to new style. Through the changes in concepts and transformations in symbolic language, it gains the cultural value that has modernity.
The most well-known chapter of The Travels of Lao Can, “Min Hu Ju Ting Shu,” was used as the story text in the project. Literature analysis and case analysis were applied to categorize the image expressions of the picture book into five parts: “Establishment of scene and atmosphere,” “Narrative function,” “Viewpoint application,” “Role shaping” and “Symbolic moral.” The above points were used as the direction and framework of the pictures drew in the picture book. The pragmatic spirit, diversified media and skills of modern ink painting were integrated to create the pictures in the picture book. The diversified value and cultural connotation of modern ink painting are shown and a picture book for “Min Hu Ju Ting Shu”, in modern ink painting style, is created.
