桃園縣國小教師英語繪本教學信念與教學效能關係之探討

A Study on the Relationship between Primary School Teachers’ Belief and Efficacy of English Picture Books in Taoyuan County

摘要


本研究旨在瞭解桃園縣國小教師英語繪本教學信念與教學效能現況,並分析不同背景變項之國小教師教學信念對其英語繪本教學效能之影響。 研究採用問卷調查法,以桃園縣公私立國小教師為抽樣對象,採分層隨機抽樣的方式,共抽取十三個鄉鎮市,134所國小,總計664 位教師為研究樣本,共回收有效問卷637 份,有效問卷回收率為95.9%。研究工具有研究者自編的「國小教師英語繪本教學信念調查問卷」與「國小教師英語繪本教學效能調查問卷」兩種問卷,所得資料以描述統計分析、t 考驗、單因子變異數分析、Pearson積差相關及多元迴歸分析等統計方法加以處理。所獲致的研究結果歸納如下: 一、 桃園縣國小教師英語繪本教學信念現況屬「中高」程度,其中以「教師角色」與「師生關係」最佳。 二、 桃園縣國小教師英語繪本教學效能現況屬「中上」程度,其中以「課程設計」與「班級氣氛」最佳。 三、不同性別、教學年資、擔任職務、專業資歷、班級規模與學校規模之桃園縣國小教師在英語繪本教學信念達顯著差異。 四、不同教學年資、最高學歷、班級規模與學校規模之桃園縣國小教師在英語繪本教學信念達顯著差異。 五、桃園縣國小教師英語繪本教學信念與教學效能具中度正相關。 六、桃園縣國小教師英語繪本教學信念與教學效能具預測力。 最後,依據研究結果提出具體建議,裨供教育行政機關及後續研究者作為參考。

The purpose of this study was to understand the current situation of elementary school teacher’s Teacher’s belief and efficacy of English picture books in Taoyuan County, and more importantly-the relationship between them. It also aimed at analyzing the differences of teacher’s perception on elementary school teacher’s Teacher’s belief and efficacy of English picture books in Taoyuan from various personal background and school environment variables; the relationship between teacher’s Teacher’s belief and efficacy of English picture books was explored. The methodology of this research was mainly a questionnaire survey. Samples were stratified randomly selected from the teachers of public and private elementary schools in Taoyuan County, including 13 administrative areas, 134 elementary schools. Totally 664 teachers were selected. 637 valid survey questionnaires were returned. The validity was 95.9%.Two scales were used:“Elementary School Teacher’s Belief Scale”, and “Elementary School Teacher’s Efficacy Scale”. The data were analyzed by various methods of statistic analysis, including descriptive statistics, independent-sample t-test, single factor ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation analysis, and scheffe post hoc. The conclusions of this survey are as the following: 1. The current situation of elementary school teacher’s belief of English picture books in Taoyuan County was above average, especially in “Teacher’s Role” and “Teacher-student Relationship”. . 2. The current situation of elementary school teacher’s teaching efficacy of English picture books in Taoyuan County was above average, especially in “Curriculum Planning” and “Class management”. . 3. There were significant differences in differences in elementary school teacher’s perception on teacher’s belief of English picture books in term of different teacher’s gender, teaching years, position, eduation, class scale and school scale. 4. There were significant differences in differences in elementary school teacher’s perception on teacher’s teaching efficacy of English picture books in term of different teacher’s diplomas, teaching years, position, eduation, class scale and school scale. 5. There was a significantly medium positive correlation between the elementary school teacher’s Teacher’s belief and efficacy of English teaching picture books in Taoyuan County. 6. The teacher’s Teacher’s belief of English picture books had significant prediction power on teacher’s teaching efficacy of English picture books in Taoyuan County. Based on the research conclusion, some suggestions were proposed to the educational administrations elementary principals, teachers and the subsequent researchers.
