近年來受到資訊科技發展的影響,組織為了成為即時企業,使用了電腦網路,以提昇組織的競爭優勢,而使得員工的溝通方式產生了改變。因此,了解員工如何使用高科技溝通媒介(即時通訊),與即時通訊對員工工作行為的影響,成為企業與研究者所關心的議題。本研究試圖了解員工使用即時通訊時,是如何影響員工的社會資本、網上閒逛行為、八卦流言及情緒狀態。再者,探討員工使用即時通訊會對員工的社會資本的影響,並進一步展現出網上閒逛行為、八卦流言及情緒狀態。 本研究採便利性抽樣的調查方式,並使用網路問卷收集資料,受試者為一般企業員工,總共收回100筆資料。研究結果發現:(1)使用即時通訊增加時,會提高互動式網上閒逛行為增加。(2)使用即時通訊增加時,會提高八卦流言的增加。(3)使用即時通訊增加時,正向情緒會提高,負向情緒降低。(4)使用即時通訊增加時,社會資本之情感網絡會提高。(5)社會資本提高時,互動式網上閒逛行為會增加。(6)使用IM會透過社會資本的中介效果影響互動式網上閒逛行為。(7)在社會網絡結構分析中,員工之社會網絡成員的屬性會影響其使用IM與工作行為之間關聯性。最後,根據本研究結果,進一步討論並且說明管理上的意涵、未來研究方向及研究限制。
Due to the development of informational technology, organizations want to be real-time companies in order to elevate their competitive advantages. Organizations adopt the Internet to change the way of employees’ communication. Therefore, understanding the relationships of how employees use high-tech communication media (instant messenger, IM), and how their use of IM impact working behaviors, are becoming an issue that enterprises and researchers care about. The aim of this study is to find out, how employees’ social capital, cyberloafing, gossip, and emotional state would be affected when they use IM at work. Furthermore, researcher suggests that social capital could be a mediator between using IM and cyberloafing, gossip, and emotional state. This study adopted the convenient sampling and Web survey method. 100 valid questionnaires were collected from participants of ordinary firms. The research findings are: (1) when employees increase their degree of using IM, their interactive cyberloafing will increase. (2) when employees increase their degree of using IM, their gossip will increase. (3) when employees increase their degree of using IM, their positive emotion will increase and negative emotion will decrease. (4) when employees increase their degree of using IM, their social capital will increase. (5) when employees’ social capital increase, their interactive cyberloafing will increase. (6) Employees’ social capital can mediate the relationship of employees’ degree of using IM and interactive cyberloafing. (7) In social network analysis, characteristics of employees’ social network members can impact the relation of employee using IM and workplace behaviors. Finally, description of the content of management, future research direction and limitation of this study are discussed.
