承印基材表面特性對於冷燙金製程品質影響之研究

摘要


冷燙金印刷製程結合了傳統色墨印刷與貼合的技術,搭配具有低污染性、以及快速乾燥特性的紫外光固化系列油墨,不僅符合現今的環保概念,且簡化了加工工藝、縮減了生產所需時間、提升了生產效率以及降低了生產成本,為印刷業提供了最佳的製程選擇。 冷燙金印刷製程已被印刷業界應用於產品加工製程,但業界對於此新興印刷技術尚無法完全掌握,仍有許多問題尚待研究與改善。本研究著重於承印基材之表面特性對於冷燙金印刷製程品質之相關研究。研究中藉由兩因子實驗之設計,透過控制電暈處理、底塗方式改變不同種類塑膠承印基材之表面特性(表面達因數),於彈性凸板印刷設備上進行冷燙金印刷品質之研究。 研究結果發現不同種類之承印基材、及不同前處理方式改變塑膠承印基材表面達因數,均對於冷燙金印刷製程之品質有顯著的影響,且具有越高表面活性的承印基材,具有越佳的冷燙金印刷品質。電暈處理後表面達因數對於PET承印基材需達42dyne/cm2,PVC承印基材則須達40dyne/cm2,於此達因數值以上,則可獲得良好之冷燙金印刷品質。 白墨底塗處理方面,結果顯示無論對於何種承印基材,當施以2.9~3.0μm之白墨底塗處理後,均能獲得良好的冷燙因印刷品質。另由相關性之分析,發現轉移率與清晰度與承印基材平整性具有高度正向相關性;而牢度與抗刮性則與表面達因數據有高度正向相關性。 本研究對於承印基材、前處理與冷燙金印刷品質之成果,以及品質相關性之分析結論,能做為業界印前準備、以及對於相關品質問題改善之參考方向,避免試誤的方式增加損耗,並獲得穩定、更高品質、以及高競爭力之產品。

Cold foil printing process is a new technology that combines printing, laminating, and using photosensitive copolymer which is less environmental sensitive, and can be cured by ultraviolet. Therefore the greater productivity and production efficiency ability can increase competitive and cost down for printing industrial. Besides, cold foil printing process is one of the best choices for product’s appearance decoration. Cold foil printing process has been used in mass production now, but there are still some unresolved problems. In this research, we use the flexography printing press to study the key factors influencing the quality of cold foil printing. The control of different types of treatments is carried out on the properties of different types of substrate. From the research results, we found the factors of pre-treatment methods and the substrates have obviously influence on the final quality. The appropriate Dyne level of PET substrate is above 42dyen/cm2, and for PVC is above 40dyne/cm2. For white ink primer treatment we found that no matter PET and PVC substrate both could have a good cold foil printing quality. By correlation analysis, the transfer rate of definition and the adhesion of anti-scratch ability have greater positively correlation. The results of this research could provide the guideline to help the printers to setup the factor before printing and to solve the quality issue and to produce the fine quality product.
