Based on data from the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) Original Database provided by the Bureau of Health Promotion, Department of Health, Executive Yuan, National Health Research Institutes and Food and Drug Administration, Department of Health, Executive Yuan, this research attempts to explore the factors that influence Functional Foods consumption. The findings of the study are: (1) Education, occupation, and income level influence personal functional foods consumption; (2) There is a obvious trend that consuming functional foods will increase when individual’s age increases. In other words, this trend not only depends on income level but also influenced by personal life stage.
