前言:癌症為近三十年來國內十大死因之首,相關的醫療照護需求量也日益增加。為達到全人護理的目標,除了身、心、社會外,癌症病人靈性之需求也需要被照顧。國內癌症病人靈性需求量表尚未建構完成,研究多以質性研究為基礎,且文化及國別影響,不同人種及宗教信仰的靈性需求也會有差異性。 目的:本研究之目的是發展中文版癌症病人靈性需求量表,並評估其信效度。 方法:本研究使用橫向研究法。首先,以Taylor (2006)所發展癌症病人靈性需求量表(Spiritual Interests Related to Illness Tool; SpIRIT)為藍圖,翻譯並發展為適用於台灣癌症病人的中文版癌症患者靈性需求量表。接著,在南部某醫學中心腫瘤科門診測試262位癌症病人藉以測試量表之信效度。 結果:本研究藉由探索性因素分析結果顯示五個構面的量表可用於了解癌症病人的靈性需求,整體Cronbach's α值為.88。第一個構面為與宗教信仰有關,包含七個題項,Cronbach's α值為.84。第二個構面為對生命有正向態度,包含四個題項,Cronbach's α值為.75。第三個構面為接受或獲得愛,包含三個題項,Cronbach's α值為.75。第四個構面為尋找生命的意義,包含三個題項,Cronbach's α值為.73。第五個構面為平靜的心靈,包含三個題項,Cronbach's α值為.72。 結論:中文版癌症病人靈性需求量表是一個具有潛在價值的靈性需求量表,可藉此來了解癌症病人的靈性需求。並藉由本研究讓中文版癌症病人靈性需求量表廣泛應用臨床服務及研究,使癌症病人靈性需求照護更完善。
Background: Cancer has been the leading cause of death in Taiwan during the past thirty-years, and cancer related careing needs are increasing day by day. To aim for Holistic Nursing, health providers should satify not only the physical, psychological, and social needs but also the spiritual needs of cancer patients. In Taiwan, the scale measuring spiritual need haven’t been developed yet. Most researches are qualitative. The spiritual needs are varied by different ethnic and religious beliefs. Purpose: The purposes of this study were to develop Chinese version of Spiritual Interests Related to Illness Tool (C-SpIRIT), and test its psychometric properties. Methods: A cross-sectional study was applied in this study. The first, the SpIRIT developed by Dr. Taylor (2006) was translated into Chinese and cultural adapted for Taiwanese cancer patients. Then, the C-SpIRIT was tested for its psychometric properties on a sample of 262 cancer patients which were obtained from an oncological outpatient clinic of the medical center in the south of Taiwan. Results: The result of the exploratory factor analysis showed that five-component solution was the most appropriate. The Cronbach's α of the scale was .88. Component 1, titled Related to Belief/ religion, consisted of 7 items and the Cronbach's α was .84. Component 2, called Positive attitudes toward life, consisted of 4 items and the Cronbach's α was .75. Component 3, named Love to/from others, was composed of 4 items and the Cronbach's α was .75. Component 4, titled Seeking for the meaning of life, consisted of 3 items and the Cronbach's α was .73. Component 5, named Peaceful mind, consisted of 3 items and the Cronbach's α was .72. Conclusion: The C-SpIRIT has potential to find the spiritual needs of Taiwanese cancer patients. In addition, the C-SpIRIT can be applied in clinical services and researches and the spiritual needs of cancer patients can got better care.
