This study tries to explain the cultural and economic implications of communication in the context of globalization, in the case of ”The Cable Giant.” Although the operation of global capital does not necessarily bring about cultural homogeneity, it doesn't means the multiple and free flow of culture in this case, either. Culture is distributed through the transnational media, so does capital that serves as the main power of culture's globalization. If the profit accumulation is the operating principle of economic system under the pressure of global capital flow, rather than the diversified representation of local cultures, the possibility of local culture productivity will be in doubt.
