Political equality and political Participation are both basic democratic ideal. Now, low voter turnout is a serious democratic problem for many developed countries. As political scientists have also known that low voter turnout is systematically in favor of citizens with higher incomes and better education. Because the citizens with higher incomes, better education and older age well haven higher turnout. Were these research outcome good-of-fit Taiwan's experience? The article is a respond to the question. And, find that age, education, party identity, civil duty and social involvement are key variables to explain the citizen turn out or not.
