摘要

《威尼斯商人》名列莎士比亞的四大喜劇之一，描寫了基督徒與猶太人之間的衝突，莎士比亞透過此劇，是強調基督教終極的慈悲精神？或是以嘲諷的角度批判基督徒的假慈悲？歷來多有討論且看法各異。本文試圖從劇中對基督教經典與教義的運用與詮釋，來探討上述疑問，從劇中的慈悲論與光照說等等線索，透露出莎士比亞的宗教態度，確實對基督信仰相當虔敬，也可以看出，《威》劇中的主要角色代表了不同的基督徒類型：巴珊尼是揮霍無度，生活迷失的基督徒；安東尼是講義氣慷慨，卻欠缺博愛能力的基督徒；唯有波希霞才是具有仁慈之心的真正基督徒，於是她可以拯救羔羊於迷途，也能證明來自上帝的真正富裕，還能適度引導異教徒走向信仰基督的道路。可以說，波希霞這個角色，象徵了真正的基督之愛。本劇充滿宣教色彩，迨無可議。

Only the female Portia who was one can prove the real rich from The God, save lambs in Lost, besides could change heretics to believe the Jesus.This play explores It can be said that this role Portia, a symbol of the philanthropy of Christ. This drama is full of missionary colors, you almost undeniable.
