This paper describes a feeding assisting fukushi robot designed with Taoist concepts, and the results of setting up a system for remote controling the robot. The real time OS used was RT-Linux, which is still in the development stage, therefore, this involves some problems even more difficult to overcome than algorithm design, including tedious version compatibility test with other equipment etc., when the OS is used on the network. This paper addresses the safety of fukushi robots, the concept of Taoism in relation to robotics, and the problems encountered in designing a remote controlled fukushi robot, and reports on the results of a design concept that confers a sense of reassurance to the user.
