本試驗以檳榔心芋為試驗材料,田區規劃分為水田栽培與旱田栽培,於2013年12月(冬作)與2014年3月(春作)種植於雲林縣林內鄉農田,探討蔗渣、稻殼與花生殼三種敷蓋的雜草管理模式對雜草控制的影響。試驗結果如下:敷蓋處理對芋田間雜草抑制的效果,以敷蓋稻殼處理對水芋及旱芋、冬作及春作芋田間雜草族群皆有顯著的抑制效果,在生育期(60天、120天、180天與240天)之4次調查中皆有最低之雜草密度與乾重,而未敷蓋之對照組則於生育期間大都有最高之雜草密度與乾重。水芋因田間經常保持湛水,雜草不易萌芽生長,雜草抑制效果較旱芋佳。冬作與春作之水芋與旱芋田間雜草族群相皆以莎草科(Cyperaceae)、禾本科(Gramineae)、茜草科(Rubiaceae)與菊科(Compositae)為多數之雜草物種。且在期作與水旱芋間雜草相之差異並不大。
