摘要

第27屆亞太地區雜草學會年會於2019年9月3日至6日由馬來西亞植物保護學會承辦，於馬來西亞沙勞越古晉市舉行。本年度的年會主題為「永續農業及環境下之雜草科學」，共計約280位來自24國家之與會者，近110場論文宣讀及68篇海報，分屬以下多元領域：「除草劑配方與施用技術」、「除草劑抗性管理」、「除草劑抗性雜草與作物」、「新興除草劑與除草劑作用方式」、「雜草管理」、「生物防治」、「外來入侵種」、「物種間拮抗作用及其於雜草管理的應用」、「雜草生態」、「雜草運用」、「雜草風險評估」、「雜草科學推廣及教育」等。亞太雜草學會亦竭誠邀請亞太地區雜草研究人員發表研究成果於亞太雜草學會的新期刊──「Weeds」（https://wecds-apwss.scholasticahq.com/）。大會亦推廣2020年於泰國曼谷舉辦的世界雜草學年會與2021年於泰國清邁舉辦的第28屆亞太地區雜草學會年會。中華民國雜草學會於本次亞太雜草學會年會亦與國際雜草科學研究人員開展交流與合作契機，可謂成果豐碩。

The 27^(th) Asian-Pacific Weed Science Society Conference was hosted by the Malaysian Plant Protection Society in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia, from September 3 to 6, 2019. The theme of the conference is ＂Weed Science for Sustainable Agriculture and Environment＂. There were about 280 participants from 24 countries, nearly 110 paper presentations and 68 posters, belonging to the following categories: ＂Herbicide formulation and application technology＂, ＂Herbicide resistance management＂, ＂Herbicide-resistant weeds and herbicide-tolerant crops＂, ＂Novel herbicide and herbicide mode of action＂,＂ Weed management＂, ＂Biological control＂, ＂Invasive species＂, ＂Allelopathy and allelochemical in weed management＂, ＂Weed biology and physiology and ecology＂, ＂Utilization of weeds for value-added products＂, ＂Weed risk assessment＂, ＂Education and extension in weed science＂, etc. During the conference, the Asian-Pacific Weed Science Society invited the Asian-Pacific weed scientists to publish their research results in the new journal of the Society-＂Weeds＂ (https://weedsapwss. scholasticahq.com/). Two other international weed science meetings were also announced during the conference: the 8^(th) International Weed Science Congress held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2020 and the 28^(th) Asian-Pacific Weed Science Society Conference in Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2021. During the Conference, the Weed Science Society of the Republic of China has established links for regional and international collaborations in weed science research and training. Overall, we considered the attendance of the 27^(th) Asian-Pacific Weed Science Society Conference by our local scientists being fruitful.
