高料層碳熱還原煉鐵之操作條件較佳化

Optimizing the Conditions of Carbothermic Reduction for Iron Ore/ Coal Composite Pellets

摘要


近幾年來,全球社會對於環保意識高漲,一貫作業鋼廠為了永續經營與維護地球生態,積極地投入能兼具節能減碳和低污染排放之新煉鐵方法。在各式的新煉鐵技術中,高料層碳熱還原不僅有此優勢之外,亦可使用低品位煉鐵原料。本研究係利用直交表L_9(3^4)實驗設計來找尋高料層碳熱還原之適當原料選配與反應條件。實驗所得直接還原鐵(Direct Reduce Iron DRI)試樣之鐵金屬化率和金屬鐵產率分別做為產品品質和製程效率之追求標的。經田口方法分析後,已分別找到針對金屬化率與金屬鐵產率之影響因子及最佳的操作條件,再經實驗驗證後,得到DRI金屬化率達90.2%、金屬鐵產率達53.2(Kg-Fe)/(h*m^2),均與預測值相互吻合,證明依此實驗設計法作為高料層碳熱還原之選配料與基本反應條件找尋是可靠的。根據此結果,則能透過操作參數的調整來達到不同的生產目標。由癱軟DRI之樣品分析顯示鐵相內的含碳量達4.7wt.%,且料層內之溫度已超過1300℃。推測係DRI樣品內殘餘C與金屬鐵發生滲碳反應,導致金屬鐵的熔點降低,使DRI發生癱軟。而在推升DRI屬化率的有效方法為增加生料內的配碳量、提高還原溫度、延長還原時間等,但操作過度可能將導致DRI發生癱軟,甚至熔化。

The carbothermic reduction of iron ore/coal composite pellets packed in tall bed is one of the most promising processes that save energy, lower carbon emission, and use low grade iron making materials. In this study, we aimed at optimizing the carbothermic reduction of iron ore/coal composite pellet s and its reaction conditions. We used 9(3^4) orthogonal array to design and conduct the experiments. The metallization and metal iron production of Direct Reduce Iron (DRI) were used as the index to quantitatively indicate the quality and the productivity of DRI. Experimental results and analysis by Taguchi method indicated that the optimization of the recipe and reaction conditions were predictable. Confirmation experiment showed that the DRI metallization and iron productivity was 90.2% and 53.2 (Kg-Fe)/(h*m^2), respectively. Experimental results also revealed that increasing the carbon addition in the green composite pellets, raising the reaction temperature and extending the duration time were helpful to improve the DRI metallization. However, the microstructure analysis on the softened DRI specimen showed that the carburization of the continuous iron phase occurred in DRI when the residual carbon was 4.7wt.%. It was concluded that (1) too much the carbon addition of pellets, (2) too high temperature and (3) too long the reaction time could have caused DRI softening.
