西瓜嫁接試驗(第二報)

Study on Watermelon Grafting

摘要


1.西瓜嫁接在扁蒲砧木上容易接合,絲瓜砧及兩種南瓜砧接合時易破裂,冬瓜砧不易接合。2.西瓜嫁接初期以絲瓜砧生育最佳,次爲冬瓜砧、扁蒲砧、本地種南瓜砧及日本雜交種南瓜砧,但差異不大,苗達定植時期前以扁蒲砧及絲瓜砧嫁接者較佳,次爲冬瓜砧嫁接者,最差者爲兩種南瓜砧這嫁接苗。3.接於扁蒲砧者不發生蔓割病,生育最佳産量最高,次爲本地種南瓜砧、絲瓜砧及日本雜交種南瓜砧;嫁接砧多有毒素病,但少數植株在生育後期生育特別旺盛。嫁接於日本雜交種南瓜砧者毒素病較多,且有少數蔓割病之發生。4.嫁接於扁蒲砧者品質最佳,交爲本地種南瓜砧、絲瓜砧,接於日本雜交種南瓜砧及冬瓜砧者品質最差。

Watermelon scions were top inarched to five stocks, that were calabash gourd, native pumpkin, Japanese hybridized pumpkin, wax gourd and vegetable sponge for testing their affinity, vitality, and disease resistance. The calabash gourd was easiest to operate, and the native pumpkin, Japanese hybridized pumpkin and wax gourd were difficult because their inner tubing of stalk were too small or too large. The growth vitality of seedling of vegetable sponge was the best, calabash gourd and vegetable sponge were the best when they were planted in the field. Mosaic disease was found on the graft seedlings of vegetable sponge and Japanese hybridized pumpkin. Fusarium wilt was also found on graft seedling of Japanese hybridized pumpkin and wax gourd were the worst.
