臺灣花磚圖樣符號應用於海報設計創作之研究

The Study on the Pattern of Traditional Taiwanese Majolica Tiles applied to the Poster Design

摘要

本篇以花磚圖樣透過符號學解析符號寓意，將花磚圖案的文化符號應用於海報創作上，並探討臺灣花磚於文化符號上的歸納與整合，釐清花磚在符號學中，符號具與符號義的關係，以及兩軸所構成符號與符號之間的組合性質，而存在的「合」的意涵，作為後續花磚海報圖樣在於符號組合的基礎。因此本研究成果分為「花磚設計的符號化」、「花磚符號視覺轉化的表現」、「花磚符號海報設計模式的建立」三大類。首先將花磚符徵意涵分類為七個類別：「植物符號」、「動物符號」、「山水符號」、「人物符號」、「文字符號」、「幾何符號」、「器物符號」。並將花磚符旨意涵分類為三個類別：「自然象徵」、「動物象徵」、「人文象徵」。最後透過田野調查法，以霧峰林家為範圍，將所收集花磚樣本，在符號學中符號具及符號義的關係，和兩軸之間所存在的「合」的意涵，進行符號上的分析，並以此建構出臺灣花磚符號系統。海報創作主題依照霧峰林家歷史裝飾意涵將主題歸類「福氣吉祥」、「權勢功名」、「家庭」、「人文道德」、「民生需求」五個主題，並透過設計模式圖建立標準化的創作模式，將花磚之符號學分析結果運用於海報設計創作上。

The study aims at analyzing the meaning of the symbol which is about the pattern of majolica tiles by Semiotics, and applying the culture symbol of majolica tiles' pattern to poster design. This study summarizes the culture symbol of majolica tiles' pattern and clarifies the relation between signifier and signified of majolica tiles. In addition, use the combinations of symbols which is composed of Paradigms and Syntagms to be the basement patterns in the following poster design. As a consequence, the result of this study is divided into three parts which are ＂The Symbolization of Majolica Design＂, ＂The Visualization of Majolica Symbol＂ and ＂The design modules of Majolica Symbol poster＂. In the first section, divide the outside symbols of signifier into seven categories which are ＂The Plant Symbol＂, ＂The Animal Symbol＂, ＂The Landscape Symbol＂, ＂The Historical Figure Symbol＂, ＂The Character Symbol＂, ＂The Geometric Symbol＂, and ＂The Implement Symbol＂. Secondly, divide the inside symbols of signifier into three categories which are ＂The Natural Signification＂, ＂The Animal Signification＂ and ＂The Humanity Signification＂. Next, establish the form of Traditional Taiwanese Majolica Tiles symbol system by the field research that collected and analyzed the symbol of majolica tiles samples from Wufeng Lin Family. The theme of poster design is categorized into five parts which are according to the meaning of historical decorations in Wufeng Lin Family. The five themes are as follow, ＂Great Fortune＂, ＂Socio-economic Status＂, ＂Family＂, ＂Morality＂, and ＂Living Standards＂. Lastly, this study establishes the standardization of design module through design flow diagram and applies the analysis of Semiotics to the poster design.
