專業教育訓練對時尚模特兒養成之重要性:以臺北市立大學運動藝術學系模特兒組為例

Importance of Professional Education Training for Fashion Modeling: A Case Study on Fashion Modeling Major from the Department of Sports Performing Arts of University of Taipei

摘要


臺灣模特兒產業,從個人職涯發展而言,是屬於短暫且具年齡限制的工作型態。期間隨著模特兒經紀公司短期訓練模式,將限制其模特兒發展外,更無法從中獲得完整的技術、個人定位與專業知能。所以在大學時期,導入長期有系統與方法論之本科專業教育訓練,確實有效提升專業技能與加速職場銜接能力。所以本文以臺北市立大學運動藝術學系模特兒組為個案,自2008 年成立至今,已培育出無數佳績(2009 Men's Uno 女生組冠軍、2011 凱渥夢幻之星男生組冠軍與女生組季軍、2013 New Face 國際男模大賽冠軍、最佳T台、前十佳等獎項);更在畢業前超過半數學生與國內經紀公司(凱渥、伊林、風暴、子席等)完成簽約,成為專屬模特兒。因此,本文目的是以文獻回顧方式,探討國內模特兒市場現況與脈動、大學導入本科專業教育訓練目的、課程設計理念與實際執行方式加以探討。所得結語如下:一、有效提升系所特色發展;二、增進模特兒專業素質與改善國內模特兒市場混亂;三、加強職場未來定位與能見度,讓市場銜接能以多面向之發展。建議國內模特兒機構,應更重視模特兒專業教育訓練品質,才能提升未來時尚流行整體市場。

Careers in the fashion modeling industry in Taiwan are relatively brief and mainly open to specific age groups. In fact, the short-term training strategies of fashion agencies place constraints on models' development and personal positioning by limiting their access to information about professional knowledge and skills. Therefore, the introduction of long-term systematic and methodological undergraduate professional education and training programs can offer an effective route for enhancing professional skills and accelerating workplace convergence. As a case in point, the fashion modeling major in the Department of Sports Performing Arts of University of Taipei has in the past ten years cultivated countless successful cases (2009 Men's Uno Female Model Contest Champion, 2011 Catwalk Male Model Contest Champion, 2013 New Face International Male Model Contest Champion). Before graduation, more than half of their students have formal contract with domestic model agencies such as Catwalk, Eelin, Storm and Men's Uno. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to explore the market environment of the fashion modeling industry in Taiwan and the introduction of professional model training (including curriculum design and practical implementation) during college. Through literature review, this paper analyzes mechanisms of educational training methods for fashion models. The conclusions are as follows: first, key characteristics of the department of sports performing arts in fashion modeling are effectively enhanced; second, the professional skills of modeling students are enhanced and the confusion of an ever-changing market is addressed; third, multi-oriented reasoning skills and the future career position are enhanced. In order to improve the overall market of fashion modeling, we suggest modeling agencies should focus their attention on the quality of model education and training in the future.
