綠茶萃取物補充對後續運動挑戰期間人體脂肪氧化的影響

Effect of Green Tea Extract Supplementation on Fat Oxidation During Asubsequent Exercise Challenge in Humans

摘要


本研究目的為探討口服8週的綠茶萃取物補充是否提高後續單次運動挑戰期間脂肪氧化程度。招募8位健康且規律運動習慣之男性受試者進行單盲交叉實驗,分別接受綠茶萃取物與安慰劑試驗,兩個試驗至少間隔8週。受試者於每天早上餐後口服1顆500毫克的綠茶膠囊(綠茶試驗)或安慰劑(安慰劑試驗),持續8週。受試者隔夜禁食後之隔天早上空腹完成單次60分鐘75% 最大攝氧量運動並全程採集氣體。同時,血液樣本於運動前、後以及在運動期間每隔10分鐘採血。研究結果指出綠茶試驗在運動第60分鐘的呼吸交換率低於安慰劑組,然而,脂肪氧化速率顯著高於安慰劑試驗。兩個試驗的血漿胰島素、血糖、非酯化脂肪酸、甘油、碳水化合物氧化速率與總能量消耗皆無差異。本研究結論:人體口服8週綠茶萃取物改變後續運動挑戰之能量來源偏向脂肪氧化作用。

This study aimed to investigate the effect of 8 weeks oral green tea extract (GTE) supplementation on fat oxidation during a subsequence high-intensity exercise challenge. Eight healthy volunteers with regular exercise habit were participated in a single blind cross-over designed study with GTE and placebo trials, separated by a 8-week washout period. Participants were randomly assigned into GTE (500 mg) or placebo trails, and consumed respective capsules every day after breakfast, for 8 weeks. Gaseous exchange samples were collected during a 60- min cycling exercise at 75% VO_2max after an overnight fasting. Blood samples were collected before exercise, every 10-min during exercise and immediately after exercise. The results of this study showed that respiratory exchange rate of GTE trial was significantly lower, whereas the fat oxidation rate was significantly higher compared with placebo trial. However, plasma insulin, blood glucose, non-esterified fatty acid, glycerol levels, carbohydrate oxidation and total energy expenditure were unchanged between the trials. We conclude that 8 weeks oral GTE supplementation enhanced energy resource reliance on fat oxidation following an exercise challenge.
