摘要

文殿閣書莊並非傳統意義上北京舊書肆的翹楚，但它理應為二十世紀中國出版史所銘記，且在漢學發展史中佔有一席之地。在二十餘年的時間裡，文殿閣書莊從事古籍善本流通買賣、「國學文庫」叢書的策劃出版、翻印西文經典漢學著作數十種，為中、日、歐美學界提供專業的服務。本文透過日記、回憶錄、新聞報紙、已公開檔案、書刊實體等一手資料間的比對和分析，明確文殿閣書莊的成立時間、釐清其與日本學界的往來淵源、再現其翻印事業的全貌，將其從事各項業務的全貌展現給今人。

Based on enormous first-hand data as diaries, memoirs, newspapers, archival materials, books, and journals, this article tries to clarify some important aspects concerning Wen Tien Ke(Ko) (文殿閣) such as when it established, how its inner structure worked and what its major businesses covered. By doing so, the author tells the story of the Wen Tien Ke: how it had witnessed the vicissitudes of its time and its own, how it had contributed to the cultural exchange and communication between China and the West through its daily business activities such as rare book retails, and reprint of books on various aspects of China in English and other languages written by distinguished western sinologists. In all, this article makes efforts to explore the publishing history of Wen Tien Ke from 1934 to 1950s.
