Orbital emphysema is the presence of trapped air in any compartment of the orbital soft tissues, including preseptal, postseptal, and intraocular tissue. The condition commonly occurs in patients with a history of sinusitis, trauma, or surgery. The occurrence of orbital emphysema after a vigorous sneeze has seldom been reported in the literature. We present the case of a young patient with orbital emphysema resulting from a subtle fracture of the orbital floor after a vigorous sneeze.
