Purely Cutaneous Rosai-Dorfman Disease With SLC29A3 Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms

摘要

Rosai-Dorfman disease (RDD) is a benign histiocytic proliferative disorder with or without lymph node involvement. The skin is the most common site of extranodal involvement. However, RDD restricted to the skin without lymphadenopathy, called purely cutaneous RDD, is rare. Generalized cutaneous RDD may be difficult to diagnose in the absence of specific lymphadenopathy and can be easily misdiagnosed as cutaneous metastases. To assist in avoiding such misdiagnosis, we present herein the case of a 52-year-old woman with a five-year history of multiple erythematous dermal nodules and plaques on her face and left thigh.
