「願做一個敗北者」-兩位台灣詩人的「1949」

"Wish to be a loser": Two Taiwanese poets' "1949"

摘要


本文將從1932年自日本學醫返台後,即在故鄉台南佳里行醫的漢詩人吳新榮(1907-1967)以及1930年代東京台灣留學生文藝團體「台灣藝術研究會」成員,後來前往日本佔領下的中國東北、華北任職的新詩詩人楊基振(1911-1990)留下的完整日記,爬梳兩位台灣詩人的「1949」,透過他們的日記,闡明台灣作家,或是台灣文化人,在1949年後與「新中國」成為平行對照組的「新台灣」如何安身立命,如何面對對國民黨而言的「天綱折地軸裂」的年代。透過日記這種私文書的文類,或許能讓我們一窺當時台灣在公開的文壇或是輿論上,已不易看到的在時代劇變中,相對於官方的,屬於個人的對於時代當下的、以及對於未來的思索痕跡。

This paper focuses on the activities and thinking of two Taiwanese poets, Wu Xinrong (Gôo Sin-îng, 吳新榮, 1907-1967)and Yang Jizeng(楊基振, 1911-1990). Upon finishing his medical study in Tokyo, classical Chinese poet Wu went back to his hometown Tainan Jiali(佳 里)and began to practice as a doctor.On the other hand, as a member of Tokyo Taiwan student literary group "Taiwan Art Research Society"(台灣藝術研究會)in 1930s, modern Chinese poet Yang went to Northeast and North China , working there under the Japanese occupation. By reviewing complete diaries of these two poets on "1949", this paper clarifies how Taiwan writers and intellectuals settled down in "New Taiwan" which was seen as a parallel model of "New China" after 1949, and how to face the era of "the heavens break and the earth split"(天綱折地軸裂)for Chinese Nationalists. From the private literary genre: diary, probably we can get a glimpse of trace of personal thinking on contemporary and future in a rapidly changing era, that were opposite to the official discourse yet invisible in public literary circle or public opinion in Taiwan.
