Hong Kong Times was a daily newspaper issued by Kuomintang in Hong Kong during the Cold War. In addition to its primary literary supplement, there were two regular special features about modern poetry in the secondary supplement, which were the "Times' Poetry Page" and the "Poetry Tide". As a preliminary study, this thesis starts with the catalogue making of the supplement by the articles and their genre and date, and then analyzes their content. This thesis mainly discusses the author groups, styles and significance of these two modern poetry features in Hong Kong Times. "Times' Poetry Page" was edited by Wu Xin, and published mainly poems and short poetry reviews. "Poetry Tide" was edited by Kwan-naam. Its layout was the same as "Times Poetry Page", but the content and form of the poems it published were more avant-garde. Although "Poetry Tide" had lasted only about one year, after another 23 years, a monthly magazine, Poetry, ran by Kwan-naam, Gwaan Mungnaam, Chan Jidak and some others inherited the concept of creation during that period. From this perspective, Hong Kong Times had contributed to the promotion of Hong Kong's local modern poetry.
