讀《商周青銅器銘文暨圖像集成續編》札記

Research Notes on the Continued Compendium of Inscriptions and Images of Bronzeware from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties

摘要


本文針對吳鎮烽先生《商周青銅器銘文暨圖像集成續編》所收青銅器銘文,從事兩項工作:首先就《銘圖續》釋文提出若干商訂意見,主要為單字釋讀,有時因單字釋讀而涉及銘文理解時,附帶對銘文進行簡單的疏通。銘文中的部分疑難字,如學界已有可資參考的考釋成果,則間亦補充學界的研究成果。此外,針對對部古文字字形,提出個人對若干字詞造字意涵的看法等。其次則就篇幅較短但銘文奇奧者,對全銘嘗試提出一己思考的心得;或對較長銘文中的特定詞句,提出個人的看法。前者包括〈癭鼎〉、〈克盤〉兩篇,認為〈癭鼎〉銘文應放在君臣間的對答的架構理解,「公」並非祭祀的對象。〈克盤〉所提及的祭祀對象「百考」,可能涉及商周文化中對「父」、「考」二字的使用習慣不同。後者包括〈昭王之即鼎〉「靈福之既極」、「子子孫勿敓」的具體意涵、〈伯□簋乙〉「俗茲百姓」的理解方式、〈宗人簋〉與〈小臣宅簋〉銘文對「干戈」的修飾形式等。

This article seeks to investigate the inscriptions included in the Continued Compendium of Inscriptions and Images of Bronzeware from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties compiled by Wu Zhenfeng, and proceeds in two parts. Firstly, this article puts alternative interpretations on the content of this continued compendium with a particular focus on single words, based on which the inscription texts can be briefly explicated. In other words, this part supplements the related scholarly literature with the author's personal opinions about the creation of certain scripts in this continued compendium. Secondly, this article provides the author's personal understandings of specific phrases in longer texts and arcane scripts in shorter ones included in this continued compendium as a point of reference.
