大學國文單元教學設計芻議

Designing Teaching Units of Chinese Literature Course for the Freshmen

摘要


或許有人認為:大學國文課只是中學以來所延續的「第七年國文」,這是極不正確的想法。大學國文課程屬於通識科目,通識科目之核心精神在於人格的陶冶與器識的培養。大學國文對大多數學生而言,是求學階段中最後接觸國文課程的機會。在基礎的語文學習之外,如何利用對人格發展極為關鍵的大學階段,讓學生透過國文課建立正確的人生觀,是國文教學的一大挑戰。教學內容的安排是課程的骨幹,筆者認為單元式(主題式)的課程架構,能在引導學生研讀古典文學作品、汲取古人智慧的同時,更深入認識重要的人生問題,例如愛情、婚姻家庭、進退出處、人生際遇等。筆者根據教學經驗,將教學單元分為五大項,每項下有若干單元。授課教師可依照學生興趣與需求,一學期選取四至五單元作為講授及討論內容,由淺入深,循序漸進。

The Chinese literature course for Freshmen is not only the extension of regular Chinese literature course given in high school. Actually, this course is a basic part of general education, which intent to cultivate and enhance one's character and concept. In addition to providing students with progressive language learning, the Chinese literature course for Freshmen can have great impacts on the students' positive character developments. The author deemed that this course can be constructed by various units in different subjects, which affect students concept of life. The curriculum for two semesters is divided into five sections which contain several units. Based on student’s interests and unique needs, teachers can choose certain parts of the curriculum for their own teaching.
