Preliminary Exploration on the Representation of Spatial Appearance of Research Fields by Close-range Photogrammetry

Whether it is for historical buildings that have already faced the fate of demolition, or for historical buildings that have yet to be preserved, detailed and comprehensive records are indispensable means and ethical guidelines. However, the current way of preserving records mostly is still the traditional way of 2D photos or images. In addition to the difficulty of accurately grasping the real state of the spatial field, it is more likely to cause the cognitive gaps and interpretation differences of the readers. This study uses close-range photogrammetry to integrate field photos, aerial photos, videos and other pixel media, and then re-posts it to produce digital format files, precisely defining the size of the field spatial field, thereby creating a digital three-dimensional model. In addition to providing further interpretation and reuse by subsequent researchers, the digital 3D models open up the possibility of application in the humanities field.
