教學相長:體育代課教師在職進修角色衝突之個案研究

摘要


本研究旨在探討個案體育代課教師對在職進修的看法、在職進修過程中角色衝突情形和採用之因應策略。研究參與者為立意取樣之一名臺北市某高中女性體育代課教師,資料蒐集採質性研究的深入訪談法,進行兩次共120分鐘的半結構式訪談,以持續比較法將訪談逐字稿進行分類、編碼及詮釋。本研究之可信賴度(trustworthiness)利用成員查核(member checks)、同儕檢定(peer examinations),並與指導教授討論,共同確認所有主題階層、類別、關係及概念化之適宜性。研究結果發現個案教師:(1)就讀研究所後獲益而改變對在職進修的看法;(2)因三種不同身分產生角色衝突;(3)依據本身狀況採取適當的因應策略。結論:(1)在職進修可提升教師專業知能,有利教學及就業;(2)產生角色衝突最關鍵原因為「時間的限制」;(3)由於因應策略運用,能減輕角色衝突負面影響。建議:(1)針對不同背景之體育代課教師或正式教師探討角色衝突實際情形。(2)採觀察法到校觀察,蒐集更豐富的資料。

The purpose of this study was to examine a case-study physical education substitute teacher's perspective on in-serve training, role conflict during the training, and its coping strategy. The participant was a female physical education substitute teacher from a high school of Taipei selected through purposive sampling. The qualitative data was collected by in-depth interview. Two 60-minute semi-structured interviews was conducted, the interview data was transcribed verbatim, categorized, coded, and interpreted by constant comparison method. The trustworthiness was ensured by using member checks, peer examinations, and discussed with advisor to examine the appropriateness of topic levels, categories, relations, and conceptualizations. The results indicated that the case-study substitute teacher: (1) Changed her perspective on in-service training after studying in graduate institute. (2) Experienced role conflict owing to three different roles. (3) Considered to apply coping strategies according to her situations. Conclusions: (1) In-service training could improve teachers' professional competencies, which was advantageous to teaching and employment. (2) The most critical cause for role conflict was inadequate time. (3) The application of coping strategy could alleviate the negative effect of role conflict. Suggestions: (1) To examine role conflict with physical education substitute teachers and physical education teachers of different backgrounds. (2) To apply observation method to collect rich data in school.
