A Comparative Scrutinization on Diversified Needle Bandanna Segmentation Methodologies

摘要

As there has been a prevalence of innumerable harmful diseases concerned with the internal and external structure of the spinal cord, a well predetermined examination may lead evading this problem. MRI scanning is of course a perfect choice due to its non-existence of side effects to humans. Therefore, a comparative study is forged on the four research papers that explore multiple marvelous methodologies given in the assessment of the different parts of spine tissue manifestation and an analytical study of its corresponding symptotic diseases. The methodologies applied are machine learning approach, a deep learning convolutional neural network, a combined MRI-US spine tissue segmentation and an atlas free method. A succinct brief out is given on its performance, severity of the disease in each spinal area, and the segmentations carried out. Each implementation is unique and efficient in its own way with possible future enhancements to be carried over.
