A Note on One Adaptive Indexing Structure for Realtime Search on Microblogs
摘要
Realtime search on microblogs is of great importance to promote its development. Among the current indexing structures, the indexing structure [IEEE Trans. Big Data, 1 (4), 2015, 125-137] is interesting because it adopts an adaptive merging strategy. But we find its searching time estimation awed because the number of packages adopting the batch merging strategy is incorrectly computed. In addition, we find the introduced average searching time function (just a linear function) is unreasonable because it fails to set some threshold values for index quantity. We would like to stress that these threshold values cannot be theoretically derived, instead they are only experimentally tested.
