Current-Mode Circuit with High Output Impedance for Phase-Shifting Applications

摘要


This brief paper reports a new current mode circuit for useful phase-shifting applications in electronic and communication systems. The proposed circuit employs a current conveyor, in form of an extra-X current conveyor (EXCCII) and two floating passive elements, which are virtually grounded, by way of employing current follower topology. The circuit offers high output impedance, thus useful for driving current mode circuits with inherently low impedance at their inputs. The circuit is verified through simulation studies using CMOS EXCCII with ±1.5 V power supply. The work advances the existing subject knowledge on analog design using current conveyors.
