Simulation Based Performance Analysis of IPSec VPN over IPv6 Networks
摘要
IP Security is a framework of open standards that provides two types of security algorithms, Symmetric encryption algorithms (e.g. Advanced Encryption Standard) and one way hash functions(e.g. SHA-1) for authentication. This paper presents performance analysis of IPSec VPN over IPv6 networks. We mainly illustrate the results by conducting a quantitative analysis based on a detailed simulation model. The performance analysis will be done by calculating the throughput and latency introduced when IPSec is applied to IPv6 networks. Then we research the best cryptographic algorithm to encrypt the end-to-end IPSec traffic.
