藝啟來我家.Ulay:服務學習作為藝術浸潤社區的實踐

Service-Learning as Arts Infiltrate Community Practice

摘要


國立臺北藝術大學(以下簡稱北藝大),自2008年起開始全面推動服務學習,北藝大藝術服務隊在此機會下成立,而如何運用自身藝術專業與服務學習,設計具有「服務」與「學習」並重的執行方式,並在過程中引導學生反思成為團隊努力的方向。本研究以「藝啟來我家.Ulay」在新北市烏來社區的計畫,藉藝術服務學習的方式,以藝術浸潤社區為實踐的活動,與烏來部落老師共同規劃,建立與社區平等對話的平台,深入社區建立關係與連結,藝術在過程中成為一種媒界,引起對話與溝通,使個人看見自己的獨特性、看見自己與社會連結的可能性,共同挖掘在地文化知識生成社區人文地圖;而服務隊的學生也在過程中瞭解自己以藝術為媒介建立與社會達成連結的可能,並擴大自己的學習經驗和思維,達成「服務」與「學習」並重的雙方且互惠互利的新關係。

Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), a leading university of the arts in Taiwan, has initiated Arts Service-Learning since 2008. To find a way in which a servicer and an accepter can both learn and share together is the most important aspect for the TNUA Arts Service Club on campus. By joining the Service-Learning Project in Ulay, New Taipei City, the researcher searched literature from the development of public art and helped promote an arts infiltration community. The team and I planned a one-year plan for arts activities with teachers in Ulay. We contacted tribes in Ulay and built communication with them, sharing our experience with each other and exploring the knowledge in Ulay with arts. In such ways we understand how Service-Learning could affect this arts infiltration community. In other words, art becomes a media, causing dialogues and communications. It also enables individuals to know their own uniqueness and to further associate themselves with society. While unveiling local cultural knowledge together, this project helps generate a sense of community and human mapping by which the linking of an individual and society becomes possible. Moreover, the TNUA Arts Service's students realize that their own professions in arts can become a media that bridges themselves and society, thereby broadening their learning experience. With emphasis upon both serving and learning, a new relationship emerges because students and community can embrace mutual benefit together.
