Business Model是什麼?一個理論性探索研究

What is Business Model: A theoretical exploration

摘要


商業模式隨著蘋果、谷歌等標竿企業的成功而逐漸受到重視,然而目前商業模式相關理論尚模糊及不一致,阻礙了此一理論的發展。本研究藉由歸納國內外學者與專家對於商業模式的定義、基本要素、關注焦點、整合方式、最終目標所提出的觀點,進行理論性探索研究。研究方法上先以書目分析找出商業模式理論趨勢後,再採用個案研究法及跨個案聚類分析。資料收集以六位國外商業模式理論大師對於商業模式所提出的相關文獻為主,以國內學者專家對於商業模式所作的深度訪談為輔,建構資料的三角剖分。研究結果顯示商業模式的基本要素在價值主張方面有價值主張、目標客群、競爭方法;在價值創造方面有關鍵資源、關鍵合作夥伴;在價值傳遞方面有關鍵流程、顧客關係、通路;在價值獲取與分配方面有利潤公式、網絡利益、顧客利益。商業模式的定義在理論面是藉由提出價值主張,透過價值傳遞進行價值獲取與價值分配,以達到價值創造的目的;在實務面是藉由滿足顧客未滿足的需求以獲取及分配利潤。商業模式的關注焦點有內部營運系統、外部顧客需求及流程整合。商業模式的整合方式有前後要素連結、核心要素連結、所有要素相互連結;商業模式的最終目標是為顧客創造價值、為企業創造持續性競爭優勢、為企業及合作夥伴創造利潤。

With the successes of Apple and Google, the studies of business model have increased substantially both academically and empirically. However, disagreements on what a business model is and how it works drag the development of the theory. This study tries to explore a theoretical common ground of the respective lenses of studies. Cross-case cluster analysis is used in this multiple case study. Data collected fromliterature of six distinguished scholars in this area of study are the major source of information. Data from two interviews of Taiwanese scholars and one practitioner who are experts in this area of study is used to construct data triangulation. The results suggest that the basic elements of business model are value proposition, target segments, and competition strategy in the value proposition sector,key resources, and key partners, in the value creation sector,core process, customer relationship, and channels in the value delivery sector,profit fomula, benefit of channels, and benefit of customer in the value capaturing and value allocation sector.The definition of business model theoretically to be “a value creation process from value proposition, value delivery, value capaturing, to value allocation, and that the definition of business model empirically to be “capturing and allocating profits by satisfying unmet demand of target customers.” The foci of business model are internal operation system, customer demand, and process integration. The integration of business model can be front-to-end integration, core center integration, and all-elements integration. The objectives of business model are value creations for the customers, competitive advantages for the companies, and profit capaturing and value allocation for the companies and their key partners.
