植物物候在氣候變遷研究之回顧與展望

Phytophenology and Its Applications in Climate Change Research: Review and Future Perspectives

摘要


物候是研究生物與氣候間相關性的科學,也是氣候變化最敏感的生物性指標。早期是因農業的需求而產生,並以農業上的應用為主,到18世紀中,才正式形成一門學科,並在近幾年氣候變遷研究中,受到極大的重視。有鑑於物候學在近幾年氣候變遷研究中的重要性快速增加,其研究與發展亦十分迅速,然而國內對於物候學在氣候變遷研究中的認識仍然不多,因此本文針對植物物候學的發展、演變的狀況,及其在氣候變遷研究中的重要性與應用,進行整理回顧,並探討其現存的問題與未來的研究展望,以供相關研究人員參考。

Phenology, a science of life and climate relations, have long been regarded as sensitive indicators of climatic change. Throughout the historical development of phenology, its practical applications in agriculture have dominated the field over the past centuries. To be a discipline, phenology was established by Linnaeus, the father of modern plant phenology and phenological observation networks, in the middle of the 18th century and gained great importance on climate change studies in recent years. In the light of the increasing importance in climate change research, the development of phenology is also very fast in recent decades. To date, however, the study of phenology on climate change is still little understanding for us. The objectives of this paper were to (1) address the historical development of phenology; (2) summarize recent applications in phytophenology associated with the study of impacts of global climate change; (3) further discuss existing problems and future perspectives of phytophenology for climate change studies.
