服務學習與健康專業教育:有效的教學策略

Service-Learning and Health Professional Education: An Effective Way of Teaching

摘要


服務學習課程是一種以課程為基礎的服務學習方案,它結合課堂教學與社區服務,配合課程目標設計服務內涵,且透過反思活動設計,以強化課業學習目標。近年台灣教育部大力提倡服務學習教學法,健康專業教育也邀請哈佛與馬薩諸塞醫學院分享相關教學經驗。本文首先從新世紀健康專業教育面臨的諸多挑戰談起,闡述健康專業教育教育為何需要服務學習,其次說明服務學習融入課程方式以及服務學習的理論基礎,最後討論課程教學常見的迷思,期能提供健康專業教育之有效參酌。

The academic service-learning described is a course-based service-learning project that integrates community service into the academic curriculum. It not only involves relevant and meaningful service within the community, but also includes a reflective design that addresses curriculum goals. The Taiwan Ministry of Education has promoted the service-learning in allied health education through sharing of teaching experiences with Harvard and the Massachusetts Medical Schools. This article addresses the challenges of allied health education, elaborates on the need for service-learning, and discusses the basic theory of service-learning, as well as describing methods of service-learning integration with curricula. The information provided can serve to guide service-learning integration in future allied health education.
