從愛滋帶原者的角度看佛教信仰與性向

A Discussion of Buddhist Belief and Sexuality from the Perspective of Buddhists Living with HIV/AIDS

摘要

本文以對六位愛滋帶原者的佛教徒的訪談為主軸，探討佛教信仰在愛滋帶原者的人生觀中扮演甚麼角色。討論的重點包括了受訪者對於多元性別／向的看法、對於感染愛滋病的宗教詮釋、以及佛教信仰可能帶來的影響，尤其業力果報觀念特別得到著墨。結果發現，佛教信仰雖然對於受訪者有正面影響，將感染愛滋病視為修行助緣，但受訪者對於多元性別／向、感染愛滋病等，皆持有不同的詮釋，很難一概而論。

This paper is a preliminary study about the effect of Buddhist belief on people living with HIV/AIDS. It is based on the interviews with six Buddhist gay men living with HIV/AIDS. The discussion in this paper includes the interviewees' perspectives on (homo) sexuality, religious explanation about contracting HIV/AIDS, etc. Karma is an issue that frequently discussed. Although the interviewees may have different explanation about the issues discussed, they generally reveal a positive about life.
