大學員工身體組成變化之探討

Investigation on the Variation of Body Composition for College Staff

摘要


The purpose of this study was to research the body composition for college staff, and the variation of body composition by aging. 72 man (age: 38.5 0.90 yrs; height 171.7 0.79 cm; weight 74.2 1.41 kg) and 162 woman staff (age: 33.3 0.48 yrs; height 159.5 0.41 cm; weight 55.4 0.6 kg) were divided to 5 groups by age (26-30; 31-35; 36-40; 41-45; 46-50 age group). Body composition was analyzed by segmental multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis. The result of this study was that the waist circumference (WC), waist to hip (WHR), body fat mass (BFM), and visceral fat area (VFA) of all man group were significant higher than all woman group (p<.05), but the body fat mass (BFM) of all woman's group was significant higher all man's group (p<.05). At men, it was significant higher for WHR in 40-50 than 26-30 age group, and positive correlation between age with WHR (r=.30, p<.05). At women, it was significant difference for WHR and VFA in all age group, and positive correlation between age with WC, WHR and VFA (r=.60, .18, & .44, p<.05). Our main finding was that the WHR and BFP of woman staff were not significantly variation during 26-50 age, but woman staff banked up much fat at abdominal area and increased more visceral fat with age.
