摘要


隨著城市及各項工程建設不斷發展,都市地質已成為地質學上十分重要的一環。如何因地制宜,採用適應環境的設計與工法,避免可能的地質災害及環境問題,是都市地質的首要任務。藉由地下地質基礎資訊的建立、工程地質特性及評估地質災害的潛勢等,可有效達到都市地質了解土地資訊,及預防災害與環境問題的目的,而都市地質資料的便利性與應用層面則決定了都市地質的廣度。本研究除回顧了都市地質過去的發展,並致力於都市地質資料之應用,編製全臺主要都會區之都市防災地質圖,並將相關資訊建置網路查詢系統,可供規劃設計者利用參考,並讓都市地質的訊息有更廣泛的應用層面,真正達到預防地質災害及環境問題的成效。

Due to the development of cities and the needs of engineering construction, urban geology becomes an important field of geology. The main topics of urban geology are using proper engineering methods for each specific site, and preventing the susceptible geohazards or environment issues. In this respect, we have to understand the subsurface geological framework, engineering geological characteristics, and the susceptibilities of the geohazards. This paper reviews the development of urban geology, and also introduces our work on the application and cartography of urban geological information. The results, urban geological maps and surveyed data, are included in the digital database and can be queried on the internet. Since our knowledge on urban geology was extended, the information of urban geology is applicable for engineers and urban planners, and the geohazards and environmental problems might be prevented.
