工業設計系學生在不同設計繪圖工具的使用性比較

The Comparison of Usability in the Different Design Drawing Tools for Industrial Design Students

摘要


繪製草圖與建構3D模型係工業設計的重要設計過程。本研究主要在調查工業設計系學生操作傳統繪圖工具與數位繪圖工具時的使用性因素調查,並且探討不同設計繪圖工具的成效比較。主要的實驗分為2D與3D繪圖工具兩部分。2D繪圖實驗在探討傳統紙本繪圖與數位平板繪圖的差異;3D繪圖實驗則為傳統電腦建模(CAD)與虛擬實境(VR)建模的比較。本研究於2D和3D的兩部分實驗分別召集了50名實驗參與者,這些受測者教育背景皆為工業設計系學生。在2D繪圖工具的實驗結果顯示,穩定感與愉悅感有顯著差異(p<0.05)。在3D繪圖實驗的部分,傳統電腦建模與虛擬實境建模的系統使用性量表(SUS)分數有顯著差異(p<0.05)。除此之外,將數位繪圖工具與虛擬實境建模兩實驗所蒐集到的資料,進行主要成分分析,皆萃取出3個主要因素。本研究主要目的在了解工業設計系學生使用不同繪圖工具時的操作情形,作為使用者在設計程序各階段選擇適當繪圖工具的依據,亦能提供相關繪圖產品在功能設計時的參考。

2D Sketching and 3D modeling were the important design process for industrial design. This study was mainly to investigate the use factors of industrial design students in the operation of different design drawing tools, and to explore the comparison between traditional drawing tools and digital drawing tools. The main experiments were divided into two parts, 2D and 3D drawing tools. The 2D drawing experiment explored the differences between traditional paper drawing and iPad drawing; the 3D drawing experiment compared traditional computer modeling with virtual reality modeling. In this study, 50 industrial design students participated in 2D and 3D experiments. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference between the sense of stability and pleasure in the experiment of 2D drawing tools (p < 0.05). In the part of the 3D drawing experiment, the scores of the system usability scale (SUS) had significant different (p < 0.05). Besides, in the two experiments of digital drawing tools and virtual reality modeling, three crucial system usability factors were proposed through principal component analysis for those two experiments. The results of this study can be used to understand the use of different drawing tools by industrial design students, and became the basis for users to select appropriate drawing tools at each stage of the design process. It can also be used as a reference for the functional design of related drawing products.
