西港香科武陣腳巾符號之探析

Analysis of Waist Band symbol of Song-Jiang Martial Troupes in Xigang Religious Festival

摘要


本研究目的旨在分析西港香科武陣腳巾符號與武陣展演內容之關連性。本研究採文獻分析法與訪談法,針對腳巾符號認同與陣式傳衍脈絡進行分析。研究結果發現,在梳理腳巾符號由來與展演內容師承,歸納武陣傳衍脈絡後,發現各陣腳巾用色來由均不同,腳巾符號會因同宗血緣關係而強化個別符號之認同,但檢視陣式傳衍師承脈絡則發現具高度混雜化。武陣的師承多出自相同源流,卻在其後的發展過程中,逐漸強化其各自的符號象徵,形成其符號認同的共同體。是以目前腳巾符號在武陣中具有標記群我之作用,然而腳巾色系與展演內容的關係卻是變動的。此種情形使得腳巾符號呈現出師承的混雜性、選擇的特殊性及認同的屬地性等三種特性。因此,腳巾符號所形塑的認同圖像,應屬一種在不斷交織化的動態過程中,所建構的群體認同符號。

The purpose of this study is to analyze the relation between the symbol of the waist band (腳巾) of Xigang Xiangke martial troupes and the performing content of the martial troupes. This study used document analysis and interview method to analyze the symbolic identity of the waist band and the passing down of the array's formation. After learning the origin of the waist band and the passing down of the martial troupes and analyzing their heritage context, this study found that waist band uses different colors for different purposes. Having same origin and blood relation will strengthen the identification of individual waist band; however, there's a high degree of complexity in its legacy. The study found that most martial troupes originated from the same root but individually strengthened their own symbol in the process of development and formed different community with identity. Therefore, at present, the symbol of the waist band has the function of marking groups in the martial troupes. However, the relation between the waist band and the performing content of the martial troupes is changing. In this case, the waist band contains three characteristics: the legacy complexity of the instructors, the particularity of the choice, and the territoriality of the identity. Therefore, the identity image formed by the waist band can be viewed as a group identity symbol constructed in the dynamic process of continuous intertwining.
