Hepatic hemangiomatosis is rare in adults. We present a case of hepatic hemangiomatosis in a 59-year-old man presenting with a 3-week history of abdominal distention, foot edema, and tea-colored urine. Physical examination revealed hepatomegaly and icteric sclera. Hemogram revealed anemia and thrombocytopenia. Biochemical tests revealed hypoalbuminemia, hyperbilirubinemia, and renal dysfunction. The results of serological tests for detecting the presence of hepatitis B surface antigen and antibody to hepatitis C virus were negative. Abdominal ultrasonography (US) revealed hepatomegaly and multiple hepatic tumors, while computed tomography (CT) of the liver revealed hepatomegaly with multiple hepatic lesions of heterogeneous densities. Further, magnetic resonance (MR) imaging revealed numerous hyperintense tumors on T2-weighted images (WIs) and heterogeneous, progressive enhancement of tumors on dynamic, contrast-enhanced T1WIs. Liver biopsy showed hemangiomatosis. After admission, the patient's hepatic and renal functions deteriorated further, and he developed hepatic encephalopathy. He died of hepatic failure on the 12(superscript th) day of hospitalization.
