企業ERP系統升級轉換決策流程之探究

摘要


ERP第一波導入潮(1999 年跨入 2000 年時的 Y2K 危機)距今已逾十年,許多導入ERP 系統的企業已經面臨了系統更新的壓力。本章擬就某知名ERP廠商進行高階提案簡報內容分析三家公司,探討公司升級ERP系統時的關鍵變數與文獻印證,並希望對欲升級ERP系統之企業在面對關鍵變數時應注意之事項提出建議並提供參考以利系統成功升級並達到預期之升級效益。 本研究主要參考陳麗娟(2002)、蕭原杰 (2010)、蘇群傑(2008)和Kremers, M. and Dissel, H. (2000)四篇研究,將影響ERP 系統轉換的因素劃分為企業成長與經營模式改變、高階主管心態與思考面向 、及營運流程調整與成本效益分析等三個構面進行研究。 研究發現,企業往往因經營模式與銷售策略的改變開始引發系統升級的需求,如系統升級能更新營運資訊並有效運作級分配,企業往往會考慮升級系統,因此企業成長與經營模式改變構面為決策的重要因素。 高階主管心態與思考面向構面中,一間企業的走向與未來,往往看領導人一念之間的決議,從上述研究結果發現,高階主管的經歷與絕決策風格也構成影響升級因素非常重要的一環。 營運流程調整與成本效益分析構面中,當企業在面臨系統升級時,營運流程的再造、導入成本的考量等現實面的考量變數與企業主希望的效益此兩者的利與弊造就最後系統是否升級的結果,導入的成本是否具備良好的成本效益為大部份公司決定是否升級ERP系統的極為重要因素。

It's been more than a decade since the first ERP system introduced in the Y2K bug crisis (year 1999~ 2000). Many enterprises are now encountering pressure to upgrading its system. In this thesis, an analysis of one well known ERP solution service provider's proposal to senior management in three different companies was carried out. The purpose is to discuss the critical factors which influence the system upgrading companies' decision and proven with the supporting thesis. In the meantime, suggestions are made as well as guidelines to companies who wish to upgrade should be aware of when they're facing critical factors to ensure it can be upgraded successfully and meet its expected benefits. In this thesis, four main studies was referenced. These are“(CHEN,LI-CHUAN, 2002),(HSIAO,YUAN-CHIEH, 2010), (SU,CHUN-CHIEH, 2008) and (Kremers, M. and Dissel, H. 2000)”. The factors affect ERP system upgrading are divided into three sectors which are “Enterprises growing and the change in its business operation model”, “Senior management's attitude and its perspective” and “the change in operation flow as well as cost-effectiveness analysis. The result shows that companies always start to discover its demand to upgrade system when they manage to change its business model and marketing strategies. If the upgrading is able to update business information and make effective use, they will consider the upgrade. Therefore, the growing and the change in business model are important factor for decision making. From senior management's attitude and its perspective aspects, the future and the direction of a company always depend on the leader's decision in a blink of heart. Hence, the experience and of senior manager's decision making style is also an critical factor to the upgrade. In terms of business operation flow and cost-effectiveness, when companies are upgrading its system, the pros and cons between practical aspects such as re-building flow, cost to implement the system and the expected benefit conclude the result. If the cost to be paid indeed brings to sound cost-effectiveness becomes the very critical factor for most companies to decide whether to upgrade or not.
