防止木材表面光劣化的高分子性光安定劑

Polymeric Ultraviolet Stabilizers for Preventing Photodegradation of Wood Surfaces

摘要


壓克力型紫外光安定劑單體2-hydroxy-4(3-methacryloxy-2-hydroxy-propoxy)benzophenone(HMHBP)是以2,4-雙羥基二苯甲酮與β-甲基丙烯酸環氧丙烷坧酯一起反應而製成的。本實驗以其單聚合體及共聚合體作為木材表面的耨明保護劑,經由木材表面的色澤變化、微細構造改變及化學變化的分析結果顯示,此種紫外光安定劑可以有效地抑止木材表面的光劣化,此外,經由掃瞄電子顯徵鏡、紅外線光譜儀及示差掃描熱分析儀得到的實驗結果顯示,此種安定劑本身亦具備良好的抗紫外光性,故為非常優良的防止木材表面光劣化透明保護劑,能有效地延長木材在戶外的使用年限。

The acrylic ultraviolet absorbing monomer, 2-hydroxy-4(3-methacryloxy-2-hyd roxypropoxy) benzophenone (HMHBP) was synthesized by the reaction of 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone with glycidyl methacrylat e. Homopoly (HMHBP), and copoly (HMHBP) were prepared and applied on wood surfaces as clear coatings. Their inhibitive effects for photodegradation of wood were investigated by measuring color differences, chemical changes and ultras tructural changes, The results clearly showed that polymeric ultraviolet stabilizers exhibited outstanding protection to eliminate photodegradation on wood surfaces. Furthermore, results obtained from IR, DS C, and SEM studies evidenced that the clear polymeric ultraviolet stabilizing coatings were very stable and resistant to photo-irradiation. Possible chemistry and mechanisms of protection of wood surfaces provided by these coating systems are discussed.
