紙張用染料耐光性之比較

Comparison of Lightfastness of Commercial Dyes Used in Paper

摘要


染科賦予紙張五彩繽紛之顏色,不但拓展了紙張的使用領域,更美化了我們的生活,然而,令人遺憾的是許多染料極易受到光之影響而逐漸褪色,失去其原本亮麗的色彩。因此,本試驗目的係比較各種紙張常用藍色料之耐光盤,冀能尋求耐光性較佳的染料以供業者參考。本試驗所測試的染料為市售常用之陰離子性、陽離子性直接染料、酸性染料及鹽基性染料等計十九種,在酸性、中性上膠過程中分別以1 %添加量加入抄成染色紙。色紙經過日光燈照射試驗後,再以色差計與光譜儀測試及分析色紙之各項性質。染料之耐光性係以色差值及光譜反對曲線的變化予以評估,除了耐光性外,亦以K/S值比較染料之染著力。試驗結果顯示,染料對於紙張染著力關係:直接染料>酸性染料>鹽基性染料。耐光性試驗結果顯示,隨著照光時間之增加,色紙之顏色逐漸褪色,而明度卻逐漸增大;比較各種染科之耐光性得知,直接染料>酸性染料>鹽基性染料,而直接染料中文以陰離子性直接翠藍-86之耐光性最佳。紙張如以中性上膠代替酸性上膠,色紙之染著力降低,明度卻明顯地增加,使色彩更亮麗。使用陰、陽離子性直接翠藍-86、K-RL混合染色,對於耐光性具有良好的改善效果。其他有關色紙間各性質之變化與比較,文中亦加以詳細討論。

The purpose of this research is to compare the lightfastness of commercial dyes used in the paper industry. There are nineteen dyes tested, including direct dyes (anionic and cationic type), acid dyes and basic dyes. Dyed paper is made by 1% dye additive either in acidic sizing system or in neutral sizing system. After exposure to fluorescent lamp, dyed paper properties are analyzed by color difference meter and spectrophometer. Lightfastness of dyed papers is evaluated by color difference (△E*) and the changes of spectrum reflectance curve. In addition, K/S value is also used for comparison of coloring strength. The experimental results reveal that the coloring strength of paper dyes in decreasing order is: direct dyes> acid dyes> basic dyes. Luminosity of dyed paper is proportional to irradiation time, but coloring strength is in inverse proportion. The relative lightfastness of dyed paper after exposure to fluorescent lamp in decreasing order is: direct dyes > acid dyes > basic dyes. Anionic Direct Blue-86 has the best lightfastness among the all direct dyes tested. The coloring strength of dyed papers becomes lower when paper dyes in neutral sizing system instead of in acidic sizing system , but the color is brighter and more luminosity. The lightfastness of direct dyes could be improved by using the mixture of Direct Blue-86 and Cartasol Turquoise-K-RL. In addition, the changes of other properties are also compared and discussed in details.
