Spectrum of Neutrons Produced by 6.1 MeV Neutrons in U-238

An experimental determination of the parameter T which characterizes the temperature of the evaporated residual nucleus of U-238 after being bombarded with neutrons of energy at 6.1 MeV was made. From the analysis of the composite neutron spectrum recorded in the Ilford C-2 emulsions of 100 microns thickness, the value for T was found to be 0.70 f 0.05 MeV.
