本研究旨在評估目前台灣農家資訊設備擁有和使用情形,以及其所具備資訊素養之情況。在隨機抽取的1,679個農民之電話調查中,發現只有8.9%會使用電腦,另外有16.6%的受訪農民雖不會使用電腦,但家中有人可操作電腦,其中農民之兒女是最主要的協助者;而家中擁有電腦設備的農家約有54.2%,可見很多農民家中有電腦卻沒人會操作。而有使用網路經驗之農民只有7.8%,有使用農業網站進行學習的農民比率則僅5.4%,受訪農民中只有3.3%有使用電子郵件。本研究亦發現過去三年受過資訊化相關訓練之農民比例僅約2.4%,受訓比例仍太低。整體而言,台灣農家資訊化還很不理想。多變量分析結果發現農民之性別、年齡、教育程度、居住地區和經營類別以及其彼此交互作用,都與其資訊化程度有所關連。
This study is aimed at exploring Taiwan farmers' degree of digitization and information literacy. A telephone survey consisting of 1,679 randomly selected farmers was undertaken to evaluate farmers' computer usage and information literacy. It has been revealed that only 2.4% of sampled farmers have received training in the past three years. Furthermore, 8.9% of respondents are computer literate and less than 5% are able to use the internet. Besides the fact that 7.8% and 5.4% are able to use the internet and e-mail systems respectively, the sample reseals that training programs of digitalization is abso1uely urgent in the near future. Although 54.2% of farmer households lave owned computer equipment, most farmers still lack the ability to make good use of it.. Furthermore, the multivariate analysis results exhibit that farmers' information literacy is affected by differentials in gender, age, educational level region of residence, and industry type.
