「經典導向的核心通識課程」的合理性

The Rationality of Classics-Oriented Core Curriculum in General Education

摘要


國內通識教育過往普遍將課程劃分為自然、社會、人文科學等三大領域,由之作為課程設計的軸心。今日「核心課程」為通識教育的一項主題;其中,經典人文課程是否可以作為核心通識課程的一項設計,仍舊有不同的看法。是以,本文嘗試論述這項設計的合理性,並且在質疑者的反對下,提出這項設計於今日的價值,從而建議實施這項設計理當留意的地方以及心態。

The general education is often divided into three aspects, which include Natural science, Social Science and Humanities in Taiwan, upon which the key concept of general curriculum design is also based. Nowadays the ”core curriculum” has been an important theme in general education. However, whether ”classical Humanities courses” should be included in the ”core curriculum” is still under dispute. In this paper, I'd like to propose the rationality and the values of including the classical humanities courses in the core curriculum. Proper attitude and suggestions for implementing the curriculum design are also provided in this research.
