Since the founding of the PRC, ideological struggle has become one of the major political agendas of the revolutionary regime in achieving the communist society. After the Cultural Revolution, the ruling CPC turned from the revolutionary messianism to rationalism and pragmatism. While the CPC is launching the economic reform, a new ideological re-construction to consolidate the national security is still the major concern of the Party-state. This article aims to investigate how the Patriotic Protestant theological construction is adapting to and responding to the official ideology of "Chinese Dream." Besides, the dilemma of such theological discourse under this state-church context is being examined as well.
