摘要

本文結合彝、漢文獻以及實地調查，通過分析黔西北彝族的族稱、漢彝互變故事以及當地彝文獻中表達族群意識的材料，揭示黔西北彝族充滿動態而又富於彈性的族類界限觀念，並考察這一觀念自清初改土歸流以來所發生的變化。

This paper uses Yi and Chinese language materials as well as field investigation among the Yi of northwestern Guizhou province to analyze the ethnic terminology used by the Yi of the region, accounts of people changing from Yi to Han ethnicity and vice versa, and expressions of ethnic consciousness in local Yi language documents. The paper demonstrates that the Yi of northwestern Guizhou had dynamic and highly flexible notions of ethnic boundaries. It explores the changes to these notions after the Qing government abolished the native chieftain (tusi) system and replaced it with regular bureaucratic appointment in 1664.
